About the event

This in-person training is designed specifically for CASA program staff who supervise volunteers, equipping them with a structured workflow for effectively integrating the updated Child Wellbeing Assessment into their case management practices. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to implement the new assessment process, utilize To Do tasks in Optima, and ensure that CASA volunteers are effectively trained in these updates.

The training will cover:

  • A step-by-step guide to incorporating the Wellbeing Assessment into case supervision.

  • Best practices for assigning and managing To Do tasks in Optima to support volunteer advocacy efforts.

  • Techniques for training volunteers on the importance of the assessment and how it informs their advocacy.

  • Strategies for using assessment results to enhance action plan development and court reporting.

By the end of this training, CASA supervisors will be prepared to seamlessly integrate these new practices, guide volunteers in utilizing the assessment effectively, and strengthen advocacy efforts that support children’s best interests.
