Help abused and neglected youth by donating the cost of a cup of coffee.

Do you have a coffee habit that takes you to the local coffee shop a few times a week? That habit can really add up! What if that money went to making a change in our community?

Join Louisiana CASA and celebrate National Coffee Day on September 29th. During our Give A Cup for CASA fundraiser, you can donate the amount you would normally spend on your coffee and have it go to a great cause. Your donation will help us further our mission of advocating for abused and neglected children in Louisiana. Plus, anyone who donates at least 1 Month of Coffee ($145) to Louisiana CASA from September 23rd - September 30th will receive a limited edition CASA coffee cup!

Your Support Matters

Children who have experienced abuse or neglect fare better with a CASA volunteer by their side. Studies show:

CASA volunteers help to secure safe and permanent homes for abused and neglected children by investigating and monitoring cases involving children in foster care. Below are the statewide stats for 2023.

Our Work

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. We are a nationwide organization dedicated to advocating for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Our mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, permanent, and loving home. CASA programs recruit and train volunteers from the community who are passionate about helping children. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. They gather information, make recommendations to the court, and ensure that children receive the services and support they need. CASA volunteers provide a consistent, caring presence in the lives of children, helping to navigate the complexities of the child welfare system and advocating for their needs and rights.

Our Mission

Louisiana CASA is the statewide association for 18 local CASA programs serving all 64 parishes. We work to connect each part of the CASA community and empower local programs to perform at their highest level. Louisiana CASA provides training, resources, and services to local CASA programs, ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently. We educate the public about child welfare issues and the importance of CASA advocacy. Additionally, Louisiana CASA advocates for changes in the child welfare system to improve outcomes for children in foster care.
