A letter of support from an individual who has administrative oversight over the volunteer, e.g., staff member or director, is required. The second may come from anyone listed above or someone who is associated with the program, e.g. board member, judge, CASA child, or community professional.
What to include in the letters of support:
-How the volunteer exemplifies a high level of ethics and respect for the role as a CASA volunteer. Discuss how the volunteer's personal strengths and skills make them an effective advocate. Include an example of how the volunteers has served as an inspiration to others.
-Provide specifics on how the volunteer demonstrated exceptional diligence, thoroughness and persistence in conducting research, advocated for the child's needs, and represented the child's best interests to the court. Give an example of how the volunteer has had a significant impact on the life of a child they served.
-Describe how the volunteer has promoted and supported CASA in the community.
