All Awards of Excellence nominations are due by March 28, 2025.
The Director of the Year recognizes an outstanding Executive Director of a local CASA program in Louisiana. They have shown exemplary dedication to the well-being of children and families, and have been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative programs, policies, and practices that have improved the quality and effectiveness of CASA advocacy in their community.
All current directors of Louisiana CASA programs who hold a program membership with the Louisiana CASA Association is eligible for this award. Programs must comply with National CASA standards.
All nominations are due by March 28, 2025.
Nominee's Information
Letters of Support
A letter of support from a current board member is required. The second letter of support may come from anyone who is associated with the program, e.g. staff, volunteer, judge, or community professional.
What to include in the letters of support:
-How has the director exhibited outstanding leadership qualities resulting in the enhanced quality of their program’s advocacy. Areas may include effective management, resource development, diversity efforts, and representing CASA in the community.
-Discuss how the director heightened the community’s awareness of issues facing abused and neglected children and the CASA’s role in advocating for the child’s best interest.
-Provide specifics on how the director took significant action to expand the CASA program.
