This training dives into the effects of trauma on children and how CASA volunteers can support children navigating anger, fear, confusion, and grief. It will also explore adolescent suicide risks and strategies for emotionally connecting with children from birth to 18 during visits. What You’ll Learn: -Trauma’s impact on child development and behavior -How to guide children through anger and emotional triggers -Warning signs and prevention strategies for adolescent suicide -Tips to engage children at different developmental stages
