Report suspected abuse or neglect
1-855-4LA-KIDS (1-855-452-5437)
If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, it’s crucial to speak up. Call the DCFS Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline, available 24/7, to report concerns. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is responsible for investigating reports and ensuring children’s safety. Your call could make a difference in a child’s life—don’t hesitate to report. CASA does not investigate child abuse or neglect. CASA is appointed by a judge and assigned to a child who is in court due to having been the victim of child abuse or neglect.
