Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators

Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators is an annual fundraiser for Volunteers for Youth Justice. This delicious family-friendly event is conveniently located at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. Gumbo Gladiators from near and far cook over 50 pots of gumbo and battle for the title of Ultimate Gumbo Gladiator in these categories: chicken/sausage, seafood and lagniappe. Event Details

• March 11, 2023 | 12-4 pm (winners announced at 4 pm) | Shreveport Festival Plaza, 101 Crockett St.
• Entry is free but gumbo sample tickets, beverages (water, sodas and alcoholic) can be purchased at the event, cash and cards accepted.
• ATM onsite
• All attendees receive 1 People’s Choice token to vote for your favorite gumbo. Additional tokens may be purchased.
• Children’s activity area
• Non-gumbo foods available for purchase
• Fun and festive merchandise for sale to remember the delicious time you had (the gumbo bowl/spoon set are a big hit)!
