About the event

Description: Join us for our CASA Collab session on October 17, 2024, with Dr. John Lajaunie, Professor of Finance at Nicholls State University. This session will focus on AI for Non-Profits, providing invaluable insights and strategies tailored for non-profit organizations like CASA.

What is CASA Collab? CASA Collab, hosted by Louisiana CASA, is a monthly gathering where CASA staff from local programs convene to collaborate, innovate, and learn. It is an opportunity for recruiters, trainers, marketers, and other key staff to connect, share successes, discuss challenges, and explore new ideas in the realm of child advocacy. Each session is designed to provide a space for open discussion, resource sharing, and professional development, with a focus on building a strong statewide network.

What to Expect:

  • Interactive Discussion: Dr. John Lajaunie will lead a 45-minute session in a roundtable format, answering questions and sharing his expertise on how AI can be used effectively in non-profits, using AI safely, and other beginner-friendly insights. Attendees are encouraged to actively participate and ask questions.
  • Collaborative Environment: After the guest presentation, we will have a 15-minute internal discussion among Louisiana CASA staff and participants to reflect on the information shared, share resources, and discuss its application in our programs.

Who Should Attend: This session is ideal for recruiters, trainers, marketers, and other CASA staff members interested in enhancing their understanding and use of AI to better advocate for children.
