About the event

Training Description:

Visiting a child once a month is one of the primary responsibilities of CASA Volunteers. These visits give a child a sense of hope, commitment, and familiarity so they know they have the support of a dedicated adult in their lives. While once a month visits can be manageable, sometimes obstacles present themselves that interfere with the ease of making monthly visits. In this webinar, CASA volunteers can learn ways to plan out their monthly contacts with a child in a way that can assist in maintaining consistent face-to-face contacts with their CASA children.

About the Speaker:

Stephanie Breeden is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Director of Member Services at Louisiana CASA. She has devoted 16 years to the CASA mission as an Advocate Supervisor, Lead Advocate Supervisor, and CASA Recruiter. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University to obtain her undergraduate degree in Social Work, then obtained her Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University. Stephanie loves serving children and families and wants to equip others with the tools to provide permanency for children.
