Court Report Writing

One of the most vital roles CASA plays is advocating for children in Court both orally and in writing. Documentation is a key part of providing effective advocacy for children, but is not always the most desirable aspect of advocacy. Court reports provide fact-based observations made by the CASA and make recommendations based on those facts. It can sometimes be difficult to determine what details need to be included in the court report to ensure best interest advocacy is at the forefront. This training will provide guidance on facts to include in a court report and how to develop best interest recommendations.
