This session explores how CASA volunteers can tailor their interactions and communication strategies with children at different developmental stages—from infants to older teens. Attendees will gain tools to make visits meaningful and empowering, regardless of a child’s age or ability.


What You’ll Learn:

  • Developmentally appropriate engagement techniques for each age group

  • How to build trust and consistency in visitation

  • Special considerations for children with trauma or communication barriers

  • How to use play, conversation, and observation to inform advocacy

Louisiana CASA is excited to offer a webinar series specifically for CASA staff and volunteers to enhance advocacy for children across the state. This series focuses on trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and family-centered advocacy that supports healing, growth, and long-term success for children of all ages. This webinar is open to active CASA staff and volunteers only.

Tiffany Ingram, LCSW

Tiffany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities across all stages of life—from infancy through adulthood. She is highly skilled in behavioral health, child development, trauma, and special education services, including Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP). Before opening her independent private practice, Tiffany served as a Qualified School Social Worker and Behavior Intervention Specialist for Livingston Parish Public Schools. In her private practice, she provides trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Her approach integrates evidence-based methods, including CBT, TBRI, and attachment-based interventions, and she often incorporates animal-assisted therapy with her therapy dog, Lexie. Tiffany holds a Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. Guided by compassion and authenticity, she strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and free to heal.
