Substance abuse has become a growing issue that severely impacts parents' ability to care for their children. As a result, substance abuse treatment is often a required component for parents involved with the Department of Children and Family Services. This training will delve into how parents begin their journey to sobriety and the support provided through treatment programs. CASA volunteers and staff will gain an understanding of the complexities of addiction and the essential steps to advocate for parents' sobriety.
