This session centers on supporting biological families through reunification and working with parents who may struggle due to substance use, neglect, or mental health concerns. Volunteers will learn how to advocate for children while promoting safe, appropriate family connections.


What You’ll Learn:

  • CASA’s role in supporting the family preservation and reunification process

  • Recognizing and addressing parental challenges (neglect, substance use, mental health)

  • How to cope when the court outcome is difficult to accept

  • Constructive communication techniques with biological families
