Louisiana launches new K-12 education transparency website

BATON ROUGE, La. - Louisiana officials unveiled a new website Wednesday, designed to increase the transparency of the processes behind its K-12 schools. 

The website will give taxpayers access to details regarding how public schools are spending public funds.

Act 370 from the 2023 legislative session mandates that schools provide accurate financial information to the Louisiana Department of Treasury. That information will be housed on the transparency portal.
